Are you as bored as I am? If so then this is the post for you. Here are some things that you can do to quench that boredom:
Documentaries.
If your stuck in a city and can’t go the woods because it’s two miles away. Well there is another way to connect with nature, although it’s not as thrilling as seeing the animals for real. I’ve got the latest nature crazes, well… for me, Ha, Ha, Ha!
Okay, here is the latest:
Farming.
The Biggest Little Farm, this Documentary is about two people’s promise to a dog. That promise was ‘this home will be your last,’ it means (for the benefit of those who don’t know) you won’t go to new owners. They live in London. The woman is a personal chef, she also has a cooking vlog (a video blog). The man is a cameraman. They always wanted to have a farm but when that dream finally came true, they find that
living on the farm isn’t all easy.

Meerkat Manor.
Based on the groundbreaking show Meerkat Manor, which followed the lives of a family of Meerkats living in the Kalahari Desert, this film pays tribute to Flower, the matriarch of the family on the series. Just as on the show, the movie combines traditional nature footage with dramatic narration, telling Flower’s story from her birth, up until the time of her tragically early death.
Fantasy.
Abomidible.
When teenage Yi encounters a young Yeti on the roof of her apartment building in Shanghai, she and her mischievous friends, Jin and Peng, name him “Everest” and embark on an epic quest to reunite the magical creature with his family at the highest point on Earth. But the trio of friends will have to stay one-step ahead of Burnish, a wealthy man intent on capturing a Yeti, and zoologist Dr. Zara to help Everest get home…
Filming.
If you’ve watched all of these (if you have then, WOW, Abomidible only came out a little while ago,) then you can try making your own. You will need a camera or phone.
Reading.
One of my favorite hobbies is reading. I read literally anything. So here are some of my favorite reads:
- Kid Normal by Greg James and Chris Smith. When Murph Cooper turns up to his new school several weeks into the beginning of term, begins to fell he doesn’t fit in. And it’s not because he’s worried about where to sit, and making friends, or not knowing where it out of bounds. It’s because his mum has got him caught up in a school for superheroes by mistake! And unlike his fellow students, who can all fly or conjure soup or be magnetic, Murph has no superpower at all, (if you don’t count eating meatballs. But just because you don’t have superpowers, it doesn’t mean you can’t be super.
- Let’s hope Murph realises that, and quick – because not far away is a great big bad guy who is half man and half wasp, and his mind is abuzz with evil plans … It’s time for Kid Normal to become a hero!
- Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter. (I’ll let you into a secret, Erin Hunter is actually six people,) I love Warrior Cats so much. I first found it at a book sale. The first book is called Into The Wild. I’m up to the third series called The Power of Three. I find it thrilling from the beginning to end. I would recommend this book to anyone you like animals but also the idea of cats fighting for survival.
- The Way Past Winter, by Kiren Millwood Hardgrave. Mila and her sisters, Silla and Pippa live with their brother Oskar in a small forest cabin in the snow. One night, a mysterious stranger arrives seeking warmth for himself and his companions. But by the next morning, they’ve gone and so have Oskar. Fearful for his safety, the Sisters set out to bring Oskar back – even it means stopping the endless winter
- The Little House on the Prairie. I have pulled a me and read the second book first. I do that a lot. I love it soooooo! Much my mum is buying me the whole set as I type.
- The Vashti Hardy books: Brightstorm. Darkwhispers. Wildspark.
